Return & Refund Policy
Run With Scissors products are hand-dyed and handmade in small batches. Each skein and set is unique. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.
Returns Eligibility
We accept returns on unused, unwound items in original hank form within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
- Item must be unused and unwound
- Must be in original hank form
- Must be clean, odor-free, and unaltered
- Must include original tags (if applicable)
Items that have been wound into cakes or balls, washed, knit, crocheted, or otherwise used are not eligible for return.
Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on:
- Wound yarn (caked or balled)
- Used or partially used items
- Custom orders or special dye requests
- Clearance or marked final-sale items
- Gift cards
- items that are dirty or have an odor
Handmade & Color Variation Notice
Hand-dyed yarn naturally varies in tone, speckling, and distribution of color. Differences between skeins or between photos and real life are normal and are not considered defects.
Dye lot variation is expected in small-batch work.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 5 days of delivery at:

Please include:
- Order number
- Photos of the item and packaging
- Description of the issue
We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.
Return Process
To request a return, email us first for authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for lost return packages.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or denial.
If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exchanges
Because most items are small-batch or one-of-a-kind, exchanges are not guaranteed. If you need an exchange due to defect or error, contact us and we will work with you. We want you to love your yarn as much as we loved dying it for you- we can always figure it out.
